John Richard Kiely

Mr John Richard Kiely is a consultant plastic surgeon at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals with specialist training in breast and lower limb reconstruction, having completed fellowships in both Leeds and Oxford. His commitment to continued professional development includes a BAAPS mentorship with the Coppergate Clinic in York and an observership in migraine surgery with Dr Guyuron in Cleveland, USA. He was awarded his CCT in plastic surgery in 2024 following the completion of specialist training in Yorkshire.
Mr Kiely has authored over 40 publications, including his own textbook of plastic surgery, and has delivered more than 30 presentations at national and international level. He is a reviewer for multiple journals and a member of both BAAPS and BAPRAS. As an educational supervisor and Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he plays an active role in surgical training and education.
Outside of work, Mr Kiely enjoys gardening and fitness.
