SKINSTORM combines six different elements to address all skin issues – creating bespoke treatment plans and delivering medical-grade facials without the downtime. Each facial lasts for approximately one hour, and the whole experience is blissful.
SKINSTORM’s 6 Elements
Element 1 – Oxygen Ice Vortex Cleanse
This is a world-first treatment – an oxygenated cleansing solution that is packed with vitamin C and minerals, chilled to 5°C. Vortex deep cleansing lifts deep-seated impurities, and the oxygenated cleansing solution allows tissue saturation for an inside-out treatment: oxygen penetration reaches the lower dermis to energise, stimulate and increase energy within the mitochondria of the cells. In addition, the chilled solution deep cleanses so that bacteria are attacked at source, in the sebaceous glands. This element is particularly good at tackling problematic, dull, dehydrated or congested skin, because it treats the bacteria responsible for congestion at source with its deep pore-cleansing ability.
Element 2 – Resurface and Heal with Phototherapy Light
Microdermabrasion is the most successful and controlled method of skin resurfacing. Mineral crystals hit the skin at speed, lifting dead skin cells to resurface the skin. It can be used as an independent treatment to effectively provide peeling to the deeper layers of the skin, and is clinically proven to create a controlled peeling of the skin, working at various depths, to treat a whole host of skin concerns: sun-damaged skin, ageing skin, control of excess sebum on acne-prone skin, smoothing and resurfacing scars, deep cleansing, refining and tightening pores. Microdermabrasion also reduces and lifts pigmentation marks while creating a more uniform skin colour to create instantly smoother, brighter, younger-looking skin.
During this procedural element, varying vacuum levels can be applied to the skin, to allow for deeper, more intense resurfacing and fibrous scar-blending. In addition, the simultaneous deployment of red- and blue-light phototherapy penetrates the skin during the resurfacing, which is perfect for treating acne and congested skin – because blue light helps kill bacteria; and also ideal for pigmented skin – because resurfacing helps to move pigment through and out, while the red light heals and allows for a more intensive treatment.
Element 3 – Oxygen Ice Peel and Oxygen Blast
This facial peel consists of extracts from sugarcane, oranges, lemons and sugar maple to deliver high levels of five potent alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) to the skin: glycolic, lactic, citric, malic and tartaric acids in a synergistic combination, at a carefully balanced pH, for optimum performance. This special peel is the only one in the world infused with topical oxygen and chilled to 5°C, which ensures that as the skin is peeled, irritation potential is significantly reduced, while the skin benefits from oxygenation at this lower temperature.
The AHAs work together to complement each other and provide optimum results: the delivery of highly active formulas deep into the skin; the skin is stimulated without being stressed; redness and irritation are reduced; and there is a holistic anti-ageing effect including the overcoming of post treatment swelling. At the end of this element, the skin is wrapped in Triple Fusion phototherapy light, where the colour is chosen depending on the skin’s concern.
Element 4 – Oxygen Ice Needling with Drone Technology
The whole microneedling process occurs without causing a significant inflammatory reaction, which ensures that the SKINSTORM facial can stimulate desirable fibroblast activity without the damage caused by inflammation. Collagen production is activated, but without the damage of any inflammation!
This is the most effective and advanced microneedling device yet, and chills to just above freezing temperature. Why? To de-stress the skin. This treatment offers the simultaneous delivery of dissolved chilled oxygen while SKINSTORM’s unique roller creates hundreds of microscopic channels in the skin, to maximise oxygen tissue saturation and kickstart the skin’s fibroblasts into producing more hyaluronic acid and more collagen.
Element 5 – Hylo Fusion (The Filler-Without-the-Needle)
This element gives an instant skin plumping effect, and can be used as an instant, natural lip filler. Hylo fusion uses high-pressure air to deliver FGF-10 serum into the skin’s upper layers; and is the same high pressure that is used for administering drugs into the skin. This means that the high-efficacy active ingredients in the FGF-10 serum are delivered to exactly where they’re needed, creating a ‘mattress effect’ that plumps and firms the skin from the inside out. The results are amazing, and bespoke treatments can be devised for each client’s areas of concern – including lines, wrinkles, nose-to-mouth lines, lipstick lines, and lax skin on the neck or the décolletage.
FGF-10 serum is made up of 100% hyaluronic acids of varying molecular weight to manipulate the level of penetration, and around 10-20 times higher than the level found in most skincare products. The serum contains Argan, along with an unprecedented level of Oxygen Complex (10%), around 10 times the level normally used, and a high level (10%) of stabilised vitamin C. And because the serum is used in a treatment that penetrates beyond the top layers of the skin, it contains no preservatives. Instead, FGF-10 serum contains a low level of highest purity alcohol, which provides microbial protection to the serum but evaporates upon application, so does not cause any negative impact on or in the skin.
Element 6 – Triple Fusion Phototherapy
Alongside a healing light therapy treatment, the SKINSTORM facial ends with a soothing Cryogenic Rebalancing Mask that is packed with minerals and trace elements, which rebalances the skin after the extensive treatment layering. The notion of light therapy first came from NASA. In 1995, the agency conducted experiments on light sources for promoting plant growth in uninhabitable environments; and their results indicated that lights could help with the growth of plants in space and could also be an effective treatment for ailments. Moreover, at wavelengths of 633 (red), 532 (green), and 415 (blue) nanometres respectively, these lights can reach the deepest layers of the skin – the dermis layers – giving a boost to the rejuvenation process through increased blood flow, collagen stimulation, detoxification processes, and much more.
Types of light therapy
Different wavelengths absorb light at different levels, stimulating responses in the skin. Working into the deepest layers, the light energises the skin cells 200 times faster, encouraging healthier skin and giving a more youthful complexion.

The six elements of a SKINSTORM facial are designed to allow some active ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin and influence collagen production (and collagen quality) while other active ingredients work on the surface and upper layers to ensure skin is hydrated and the skin’s barrier is optimised for protection.
SKINSTORM combines oxygen with low temperatures for greater efficacy. The SKINSTORM facial offers enhanced penetration of active ingredients due to the synergistic effects of the key elements it involves: oxygen, low temperature and multi-step exfoliation. The primary significance of the cold temperature treatment relates to skin soothing and the effective delivery of oxygen (in a cold state). When undergoing highly active procedures, it is important to avoid the skin manifesting stress responses, which can be problematic during or immediately after treatments. The cold temperature assists in calming and de-stressing the skin while the accompanying oxygen provides the desired (non- stressed) stimulation.
SKINSTORM’s innovative oxygen treatment with low temperatures is a new approach to skin rejuvenation. Skin cells use oxygen for energy, so the oxygen treatment is like a shot in the arm for the skin and its processes. In addition, the low-temperature approach ensures skin is in a relaxed and de-stressed state. This, coupled with the oxygen infused into the product that allows it to go 700 microns deeper, allows the skin to benefit from the positive impact of the treatment and its active ingredients, without any potential negativity coming from the treatment itself, which is possible in other treatments where heat is involved.
The temperature of a liquid affects the solubility of oxygen within the liquid, as well as its ability to retain the oxygen being supplied. By cooling a liquid, the oxygen transfer retention rate is greatly increased, and can be measured by the dissolved oxygen (DO) level (which is the amount of oxygen that is dissolved in the liquid). Temperature affects the solubility of oxygen in water. At atmospheric pressure and 20°C, the maximum amount of oxygen that can be dissolved in water is 9.2mg/l. At lower temperatures, solubility increases to 12.8mg/l at 5°C. The dissolved oxygen content of the SKINSTORM serums is greatly increased by decreasing the serum temperatures from ambient room temperatures, at the same time as the enriched oxygen gas – the TDO – is being processed with the serums. TDO is used in wound therapy and applied to the skin in the form of liquid serums and gels to increase wound healing.
